AquaSol was retained as expert witness for the claimant in the international arbitration case of West Africa Aquaculture Ltd. v. Republic of The Gambia, concerning the alleged expropriation of a commercial aquaculture enterprise.

The dispute arose from the seizure and disruption of aquaculture operations by military and paramilitary forces under the former regime. The claim was registered with the World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in Washington, DC.
